The boy is too clever

Levi continually amazes me with how much he understands & the way his mind works. He has figured out that if he is sick he gets to come home from kindy... he's only 2 - he's not supposed to have sickies figured out yet! He has worked out that if he gets himself all worked up screaming it pushes his temperature up just enough that the daycare centre will call us and we will come and pick him up. He knows exactly how it all works - he asks for the thermometer and says he's sick. When we asked him yesterday morning if he wanted to go to kindy he looked excited then stopped & thought about it a bit and said (with a very sad shake of his head) "no, Guy sick!" (he calls himself Guy).... we both cracked up laughing which he didn't appreciate considering his obvious grave illness and being the unsympathetic parents we are he was shipped off to kindy anyway. The day before, he was at kindy for a grand total of 2.5 hours before they called us to say he has a temperature, please come and get him. By the time Geoff got there he was happily playing & running around with the other kids and was absolutely fine for the rest of the day. The daycare ladies just didn't believe me when I said that he was putting it on just to be able to come home but when I told them what he had said & how he could put on a slight temperature at will, they were amazed. Let's hope that by the time he gets to school age he has figured out how to put that amazing mind of his to better use!

Have to check that temperature in lots of different places just to make sure to get the highest possible number! (and of course check Finn too just to see if its contagious!)

Wow, he is clever. You just don't think that they could figure it out at this stage but they do hey. I think though, Levi takes the cake in the smarts department.

Go the sickie! I wish I had figured out how to do that - more around Grade 10 or 11 though is when I really needed it! Also - I see you're up with obscure lines from Notting Hill too.......can't wait to tell my sister, she'll wet her pants laughing I'm sure! Thanks for your comment :-)
