The funny things they say - fire phobia

Tonight our smoke alarm went off while dinner was cooking. Levi was totally freaked out so Geoff explained all about 000 & fire/police/ambulance etc and how we would get out if there was a fire. Levi became even more terrified. He was particularly worried about fire "getting on our things" and then "if fire gets on you then you be dead". Then it was bedtime - and Levi said: "maybe I just have a nap instead of sleep ok Mummy? Cause when i only nap, Mummy and Daddy stay awake. You need to stay awake in the lounge room so you can see a fire coming." I explained again that the alarm would tell us if a fire was coming etc, that I would be right outside his door for a while & told him if he got scared that he could come and give me a cuddle.... his response: "but I is already scared!" yep - that kid's gonna have nightmares tonight....
