Times have changed so much.... we used to have all our photos printed and passed down through generations... with the expansion of digital photography, less photos are making it off our hard drives and onto print. I want my boys to have their childhood photos later in life.... not some badly scratched cds or an apology about a failed hard drive or something. I also recognise that one day very soon my boys will find my scrapbooking embellishments to their photos to be a bit embarrassing. So while I will keep scrapbooking every now and then for my own hobby, I want to create clean simple pages of their photos to be printed in yearly books to serve as their childhood photo albums.
So this year my 365 book will be in a mixed format. I will be creating one page per week showing a photo from each day, and also adding in extra pages from the days where I had many great photos to choose from, or a special event to document or something like that. I'm trying to add my photos & journalling to the pages each evening, and I'll upload my page at the end of each week along with any additional pages I've done.
Here's my first page for 1st January and then I'll start with weekly pages from Monday to Sunday. Also an extra page I did of some pics of the boys swimming. And I only need to add some large photo pages & covers to my 2011 book before I can press print on last year!
